Reflections (2) – Lockdown

LOCKDOWN

A particle so small, shaped like a crown.

A disease threatening to bring us down.

And yet, in the distance,

I find hope, a brilliance.

I will march on into the daylight,

I will endure and fight.

Togetherness from you, is what I need,

And on your love and compassion, I feed.

The song of a swallow,

Will lead me to the morrow,

Another day, another night,

I will march to the ocean, and find the light.

It shines on my children,  and only time will tell,

If this is heaven or this is hell,

Whether we have found the cure,

To heal what is so delicate and pure,

Our nature,

Our future.
